The terms governing your use of the PyStatR+ website, learning resources, and services.

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the PyStatR+ website, learning platform, and related services (collectively, the “Services”). By accessing or using the Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. About PyStatR+
PyStatR+ is a mission-driven institution dedicated to building technical capacity for data-driven futures. Our mission — Building Technical Capacity for Data-Driven Futures — is guided by our five core values: teaching with clarity, practicing integrity, expanding access, empowering others, and building capability.
2. Platform Infrastructure
PyStatR+ operates using a modern, static-site architecture and trusted open-source and third-party tools, including:
- Netlify for secure hosting and deployment
- GitHub for source control and content management
- Quarto and related open-source tooling for publishing educational content
- Secure third-party services for payments, analytics, and email communication (when applicable)
PyStatR+ does not use PythonAnywhere or Amazon Web Services (AWS S3) for hosting, storage, or content delivery.
3. Educational Content
All tutorials, notebooks, videos, and written materials are provided for educational purposes only. While PyStatR+ strives for accuracy and rigor, content is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind.
4. User Conduct
You agree not to misuse the Services, attempt unauthorized access, interfere with site functionality, or engage in conduct that could harm PyStatR+, its learners, or its community.
5. Intellectual Property
Unless otherwise stated, all original content on PyStatR+ is the intellectual property of PyStatR+ or its contributors. Open-source materials are used in accordance with their respective licenses.
6. Third-Party Services
Certain features may rely on third-party services (such as video hosting or payment processing). PyStatR+ is not responsible for the practices, availability, or policies of these external providers.
7. Termination
PyStatR+ reserves the right to suspend or terminate access to the Services for violations of these Terms or misuse of the platform.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, PyStatR+ shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Services.
9. Changes to These Terms
These Terms may be updated periodically. Continued use of the Services constitutes acceptance of any updated Terms.
