Alier Reng is a data scientist and educator, and the founder of PyStatR+ — a mission-driven institution building technical capacity for data-driven futures. He blends analytics, philosophy, and storytelling to make complex ideas human and empowering, so technical knowledge becomes lasting opportunity for the communities PyStatR+ serves.
From 14 years of refugee-camp education in Ethiopia and Kenya to Director of Healthcare Quality & Clinical Analytics in the U.S., his journey reflects resilience and purpose. With 5+ years of university-level teaching in mathematics and statistics and over 9 years in healthcare quality, data analytics, and leadership, he founded PyStatR+ to bridge technical rigor with accessible education.
